GNCS Office Safety Precautions in Effect During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Our office is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus:

  1. Office seating in the waiting room has been removed.

  2. All clinicians and staff, including myself wear masks.

  3. All staff will maintain safe distancing.

  4. For monies that may need to be collected, please use the online system through the portal or you may read me your credit card number in session to reduce transmission of handling cards.

  5. Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.

  6. Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy rooms and the waiting room.

  7. We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize risk of encountering others.

  8. We ask all clients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.

  9. Commonly touched surfaces are thoroughly sanitized after each session.

  10. We will not be providing coffee, tea or water during sessions until further notice. We encourage clients to bring their own water or other beverage should they wish.

  11. Physical contact is not permitted.

  12. Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

  13. Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

  14. We are asking for client cooperation to understand client infection risk; and to be informed should a client or client’s family member with whom they have been in close contact with has tested positive with the COVID-19 virus.

WHat MAKES GREAT NORTH SO GREAT?

  • · Need different hours? Yep, I can be a bit flexible, too.

  • · How about online scheduling anytime day or night?

  • · Telehealth options.

  • · Appointment reminders? Yep! Life gets busy and I created my services with these add-ins to help with that!

Meeting you at life's crossroads.

When I began my private practice, I decided it was time to shake things up a little here in Bemidji. That is why I decided that my motto really describes my approach, and not that I made it the other way around as some catchy, but futile phrase.

Through counseling services, I hope you can learn how to see the highest value of yourself, your time and your health; I hope that you will be able to identify your potential and create direction to allow you to feel confidence, hope and understand the tools for lasting change.

I provide tailored and effective evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment options to the local community. I decided to open my own small entrepreneurial counseling services in an effort to meet busy lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A quaint office on the lower level of the historic Carnegie Library.

  • A simple, relaxing waiting area.

  • Fresh, quality coffee, tea, or water. I don't believe in giving any less.

  • A clean, relaxing environment.

  • Absolute respect for you and your situation in life.

New to services?

All new clients will first need either a Rule 25 or Diagnostic Assessment unless inquiring about consulting services. I will try to tailor your services around your needs; you are not a one size fits all. What if I do the assessment and we are not a good fit? No worries! We may not jive well together or perhaps I know someone else who may better serve your presenting concerns. I would rather you walk away from counseling thinking, "Wow! That was awesome and super helpful!" then regret your experience and time spent.

Lastly, I actually am really excited to get to working with you and would like to commend you now on taking your health seriously. You are pretty awesome!

Life success is more like creating an internal switch; although our trek is long and difficult, we must be able to see the beauty and importance in it’s lessons; and experience in the joys of all lightness, versus carry around the ruts and sorrows of the darkness.
